ANSWERS TO SOME OFTEN ASKED QUESTIONS

The band are all experienced and professional musicians, some are classically trained, some have have played with name bands, orchestras and in West End musicals. We all put a lot of effort in to our performance and show.

 
How much does it cost to hire The Dial?
Fees are dependent on date, arrival time, location, performance times and venue size. Please provide us with as much information as possible and we will get back to you with a quote, usually within 24 hours.
Can we hear the band live?
Although we perform at private events, weddings and parties, it is possible to see us play live at open venues - clubs and pubs located mainly in the mid-east Kent area.

What regions do you cover?
We are happy to play anywhere! The band is based in London and Kent. For venues more than 3 hours journey time from London, we do charge a fee for the overnight accommodation of 6 people.
What equipment will you bring?
The band supplies high quality sound and lighting systems that are suitable for function rooms/small halls - up to around 250 guests.
All electrical equipment is PAT tested.
What functions will you play?
The band performs at a wide variety of venues from pubs and small function rooms to stately homes, theatres, halls etc. We also will play in a marquee or outside, under-cover (weather permitting).
How much space does the band need?
We can squeeze onto a smallish stage if need be, but it does affect our ability to perform. A performance area - it doesn't necessarily need to be a stage - of 18ft x 10ft is generally adequate.
How long do you need to set up?
Our normal set up takes around an hour. In larger venues where we have extra sound and lighting equipment this will take longer.
Vehicle parking?
Band members live in different parts of London and Kent, and although we share vehicles, we do need parking for 3 vehicles - two 1 ton vans plus a car.
Contracts & band booking?
As a token of goodwill and your commitment to your event, we ask for a deposit of 25%. If for any reason you need to cancel, give us 14 days+ notice and your deposit will be refunded.
How loud are you?
A reasonable volume - similar to that of a west end musical orchestra. We're not an acoustic folk duo - neither are we a heavy metal band.
How long do you play for?
Usually three sets 45 to 60 minutes each. Pre-recorded music can played during the intervals if you wish.
